Ali says "It’s been an amazing 4 months choosing the songs for my new double album ‘Naughty and Nice’, from assembling the arrangers, my incredible musical director Michael Bell and the ever-so-talented band. I have loved every minute! The recording weekend where we put down 19 songs went without a hitch. I wanted to record the vocals in the studio with the band because I wanted the whole connection with me and the band to be organic, truthful and in the moment. I think the finished product portrays this; my songs choices were all about the story-telling whether it was me being naughty or nice. From Jacques Brel, Doris Day, a 1970 hit by the band ‘Chicago’, ‘Big Spender’, Joan Baez… this album really is a chocolate box selection showing off my very eclectic taste in music and the many hats I like to wear. It’s also a bit of a tribute to how colourful we women really are!"
